Vinyards of Ranchelle |
All the vinyards of Ranchelle are maintained following the principles of biodynamic farming with yearly green-manure. During the grape season they are treated only with minimal amounts of brimstone and copper-sulfate (ca. 25% of the quantities allowed in organic farming). |

quite a large number of different grape varieties. The wines Millocchio
Bianco and Millocchio Rosso are made with the grapes of this vinyard. |
planted in 2015, half Cliegiolo and half Alicante,
the two traditional red grape varieties of the Maremma. The red wine
Pergolacce is made with the grapes of this vinyard. |
planted in 2015 with the typical grape varieties
of Pitigliano: Procanico, Nocchianello, Riminese, Verdello und Clairette.
The white wine Roccolina is made with the grape of this vinyard. |
planted in 2017 with half Ansonica und half red
varieties (Alicante, Aleatico, Mammolo, Buonamico). This vinyard is
situated on a hilltop in a position particularly suited for viticulture. |
