Vinyards of Ranchelle

All the vinyards of Ranchelle are maintained following the principles of biodynamic farming with yearly green-manure. During the grape season they are treated only with minimal amounts of brimstone and copper-sulfate (ca. 25% of the quantities allowed in organic farming).

typical old vinyard (60 years) of the Maremma with quite a large number of different grape varieties. The wines Millocchio Bianco and Millocchio Rosso are made with the grapes of this vinyard.
planted in 2015, half Cliegiolo and half Alicante, the two traditional red grape varieties of the Maremma. The red wine Pergolacce is made with the grapes of this vinyard.
planted in 2015 with the typical grape varieties of Pitigliano: Procanico, Nocchianello, Riminese, Verdello und Clairette. The white wine Roccolina is made with the grape of this vinyard.
planted in 2017 with half Ansonica und half red varieties (Alicante, Aleatico, Mammolo, Buonamico). This vinyard is situated on a hilltop in a position particularly suited for viticulture.
